Persons wanting to enroll for health insurance as part of the Affordable Care Act may be able to continue to do so despite the passing of the March 31 deadline, an agency said.
Ozark Action Inc. said Texas County residents may still be able to enroll if they have: recently married, had a child or adopted a child, had a change in immigration status, been released from incarceration, received an exemption from the Marketplace but now have higher income or lost health insurance. Persons who would like to apply for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program can still apply.
Officials announced earlier this month that nationwide the program’s target enrollment numbers — 8 million — had been met.Â
