Texas County’s jobless rate dropped three-tenths of a percentage point in March from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported. The figure was 7.6 percent.
The agency said the county’s civilian labor force was 11,463. Total employment was at 10,591. Those unemployed stood at 872.
In south-central Missouri, the average jobless rate was 7.7 percent. Area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 7.4; Howell, 6.7; Shannon, 11.2; and Wright, 7.7.
