The Missouri Department of Conservation is hosting a special camp in July to introduce girls to different outdoor skills.
The Discover Nature Girls Jr. Camp is July 26 and 27 at the Slabtown campground. The camp is for girls ages 7-11.
Attendees will participate in hands-on outdoor skills in areas including water safety, rifle shooting, archery, dutch oven cooking, fishing, tent building and more. Activities will be led by experts in the respective field.
Application forms are due June 1. Attendees will be contacted by phone or e-mail shortly after the enrollment deadline.
