Eleanor Howard Christie Deloach, 70, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Snellville, Ga.
She was born Nov. 3, 1943, daughter of Carl Christie and Francis Howard Christie. She married Charles Deloach in the 1970s.
She grew up the daughter of a Navy officer. She attended high school in Washington D.C. and moved back to Rolla with her family in 1960. She graduated from Rolla High School and attended the Rolla School of Mines, where her father was a professor.
The granddaughter of Duncan and Amelia Leavitt Christie, she spent many summer vacations in Houston on the Christie farm with her family.
She pursued a career as a convention manager in resort hotels in Florida, Colorado, Michigan and Georgia. She recently lived in Snellville, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Snazzie.
Survivors include her husband, Charles, and many cousins.
Services are pending and will be held in Snellville, Ga.
