The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department:
•Randy P. Hogan, 46, of 8164 Morton Road, No. 20, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after he allegedly swiped a cell phone May 4 from Walmart.
•Samuel W. Thomas, 30, of 15416 Highway AA at Bucyrus, was issued a citation May 3 for operating a motor vehicle with expired license plates.
•Ronald D. Hern, 52, of Route 1, Box 60, in Cabool, was arrested May 7 for having an active Texas County warrant for distribution of a controlled substance.
An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office in Houston after being told Hern was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $250,000 bond.
•Anthony J. Jones Jr., 24, of 108 Redbud St. in Houston, was arrested at about 5:30 p.m. May 6 for having an active Texas County warrant for property damage. An officer who was aware of the warrant arrested Jones while investigating another case on Redbud Street. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post $100,000 bond.
•Justin Canfield, 30, of 811 Dooley St. in Houston, was issued a citation May 4 for animal neglect.
An officer cited Canfield after a report was received from a woman who said her neighbors had moved out on April 28 after the house’s electricity had been turned off, but had left their dog chained up. The woman stated she had fed and watered the dog for several days.
It was taken in by The Animal Shelter of Texas County, and reportedly appeared to be emaciated and weak.
•A citation for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway was issued April 22 to a 46-year-old Jadwin woman; citations for displaying plates of another and driving while revoked were issued April 30 to a 27-year-old West Plains woman; a citation for driving a vehicle with expired license plates was issued May 3 to a 49-year-old Ellsinore woman; and a speeding ticket was issued May 4 to a 43-year-old woman from Austin, Texas.
