The unemployment rate in Texas County dropped 1.5 percentage points to 6.1 percent in April, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reports.
The agency said the county’s civilian labor force was 11,510. Total employment was at 10,812, an increase of 221 from March. Those unemployed stood at 698.
