Mark your calendars to be a part of the annual Fireworks Festival Truck Pull scheduled for Saturday, June 28.

The gates will open at 4 p.m. and the truck pull begins at 7 p.m. with the fireworks scheduled for 9:30 p.m. The truck pulls will continue following the fireworks. Please note that this is a change in time for the gates to open and the truck pull to begin.

The Draggin’ Wagon sled team will be featured. Admission for truck pull spectators is $10 with children ages 12 and under free.

Besides all of the truck pull action there will be lots of vendors to make this a true party at the fairgrounds. There’s sure to be something to delight everyone’s taste buds with the food list including burgers, hot dogs, nachos, barbecue and smoked meats, ice cream, pizza, funnel cakes and other deep fried sweets, and cotton candy. Other vendors with items other than food will also be at the event.

Police Chief Jim McNiell wants to remind everyone who chooses to watch the fireworks outside of the fairgrounds that there is no parking along Oak Hill Drive or along U.S. 63. There will be police and highway patrol officers directing traffic at the main fairground entrance and the north entrance near the Flower Auto Parts following the fireworks.
