The Texas County Food Pantry board of directors has a new leader.
Following the recent resignation of Bob Joens, who served on the pantry board for 14 years and was president for the past 12, the board has appointed Raymondville resident Guy Ceplina as Joens’ successor.
The board also appointed Joyce Campbell as vice president, Heather Satterfield as secretary and Harold Bruening as treasurer. Other board members include Naomi Campbell, Rita House and Angel Wells and two recent additions, Dr. Patricia Benoist and Omanez Fockler.
“Bob spent a lot of time helping the food pantry grow to what it is today,” said pantry director Bennie Cook. “He continues to be very supportive of the food pantry and is always available if we have any questions.”
