The Houston Police Department handled several investigations during the last week.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department:

•Bobby J. Rogers III, 21, of 10916 Prescott Road at Licking, was issued a citation for following too closely after a 19:10 p.m. two-car accident on U.S. 63 June 23.

•Katrina A. Martin, 29, of 1032 Thomasville Road in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing an animal to run at large after a pit bull she owns allegedly attacked a dog owned by a 73-year-old man on the front porch of his North Street residence on June 17.

•Dustin W. Merriett, 30, of 7612 Maries Lane in Houston, was issued a citation for failing to show an insurance card after a traffic stop at 6:25 p.m. June 26 on Thomasville Road.

•Kenneth A. Kargel, 67, of 15033 Berry Road at Cabool, was issued a citation for failure to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at 10:40 p.m. June 26.

•Charles J. Smith, 21, of 421 Florence St. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to wear a seat belt after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 7:40 p.m. June 26.

•Jennifer N. Canfield, 28, of 811 Dooley St. in Houston, was issued citations for displaying plates of another and failure to show an insurance card after a traffic stop on Oak Hill Drive at about 5:10 p.m. June 24.

•Marcia A. Bailey, 42, of 160 Orchard St. in Raymondville, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting several items from Walmart at about 1:40 p.m. June 21.

•Ivan A Gale, 22, of 8205 Northview Lane, Lot 31, in Houston, was issued citations for stealing under $500 and first-degree trespassing after allegedly shoplifting from Walmart at 5:45 p.m. June 8.

Gale was charged with trespassing due to being banned from all Walmart properties following a previous incident.  

•Lewis P. Akins, 55, of 1601 Hawthorne Ave. in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly swiping a tool set out of a 28-year-old woman’s shopping cart after she had purchased the item 7 p.m. June 10. It was in a cart on the Walmart Supercenter parking lot.
