Sales tax revenue in Texas County was down during the latest monthly period.

Texas County merchants collected less tax revenue, according to the latest monthly report from the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The tally from three half-cent sales taxes was about $89,161 each, which is down about $7,000 each from the same period a year ago.

For the year, each sales tax has netted about $408,000. That’s up about more than $10,500 on each.

The funds are used for debt repayment on the justice center, general operations and maintenance.
