With inclement weather in the forecast, organizers have moved today’s Texas County Relay for Life — the fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society — inside Hiett Gymnasium.
The annual event was planned to be held at Tiger Stadium. The decision to move indoors was made Friday morning.
Opening ceremonies include presentation of the colors, national anthem, invocation and parade of teams.
At 6 p.m., a survivor ceremony is planned, along with a survivor/caregiver lap. A luminaria ceremony is at 9 p.m. The closing event and victory lap is at 11:30.
