Military veteran

William “Bill” Frederick Wilhelm, 60, passed away June 28, 2014, in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 30, 1953, in Newton, Ill., son of Wilbur and Helen McCann Wilhelm.

He served in the Army and was a Sergeant First Class when he retired.

He enjoyed listening to music and relaxing at home. His greatest love was his family. He took great pleasure in making sure his daughter, Renee, had fun. They spent many days going on outings, playing and hanging out together.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda of the home in Edgar Springs; two sons, Jeremy Wilhelm of Jefferson City and Cody Stroup of Rolla; three daughters, Amy Wilhelm and Brittany Stroup of Rolla and Renee Stroup of the home; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Wilhelm and Tom Wilhelm of North Carolina; and one sister, Helen Abbott of Indiana.

Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Burial was in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood.
