Texas County’s unemployment rate increased one-half of a percentage point in June from the previous month, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 6.8 percent.
The agency said the county’s civilian labor force was 11,641. Total employment was 10,845. Those unemployed stood at 796, up 72 from May.
In south-central Missouri, the average jobless rate was 6.7 percent. Area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 6.6; Howell, 6.4; Shannon, 8.5; and Wright, 6.7.
