The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department:
•Bryant J. Harlan, 23, of 5679 Camp Road in Houston, was issued a citation for following too closely after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 near Highway 17 at about 7:20 p.m. July 7.
•James D. Waltrip, 27, and Jessica L. Cook, 29, both of Rolla, were issued citations for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift several items from Walmart at about 7:15 p.m. July 7.
•Scott T. Mortensen, 38, of 619 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was issued a citation June 30 for operating a vehicle with expired license plates.
•Brandon J. Morrow, 32, of 18277 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was issued a citation July 7 for operating a vehicle with expired license plates.
•A 59-year-old Houston woman reported on July 8 that her Highway 17 residence had been burglarized. The woman stated that several items of jewelry, with a total valued of $3,810, and other items valued at $710 had been swiped.
•Sally A. Porter, 61, of Edgar Springs, was issued a citation for improper passing on the left after a two-vehicle accident on Walnut Street at about 10:15 a.m. July 3.
•Gary J. Schueler, 48, of 800 Sommerfield Drive at Houston, was arrested July 11 for having an active City of Houston warrant for driving while intoxicated. Schueler was arrested at his residence at about 8:40 p.m. and taken to the Texas County Jail.
•Billy J. Hayes Jr., 23, of Mountain View, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift at Walmart at about 4 p.m. July 1.
On July 4, Hayes was issued a citation for failure to obey after an incident on Bryan Street in Houston in which he was allegedly drunk and out of control, according to a report.
•Curtis S. Rouse, 31, of Mountain Grove, was issued a citation for following too closely after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 south at the Houston city limits at about 2:35 p.m. July 12.
Rouse was reportedly distracted when his son handed him a note and rear-ended a three-wheel Honda Goldwing motorcycle driven by Dale Stevenson, 59, of Mountain View, that was slowing to make a left turn. A 61-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle was injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View.Â
