The following reports were generated last week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A Cabool woman reported at about 9:25 p.m. June 24 that her husband wouldn’t give her the keys to a vehicle at their Airport Road residence. An investigating officer determined the woman was drunk and her husband didn’t want her to drive while impaired.

•An officer was dispatched at about 6 p.m. June 28 regarding a report of a hay theft at a U.S. 63 property at Licking.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a 49-year-old Plato man who stated he owned the property, but that his ownership was being disputed by the former owner’s daughter. The man said a 31-year-old Salem man had cut hay from the property without permission.

The case is still being investigated.

•A representative of Fort Leonard Wood called at about 8:50 p.m. July 1 to report that a Slabtown Road soldier didn’t show up for work. An investigating officer made contact with the soldier, who stated he had spoken to his first sergeant about the absence.

•A woman called at about 3 p.m. July 1 to report a neglected dog on Highway AW across from Woods Market. An investigating officer determined all the dog’s needs were being adequately met.

•An officer was dispatched at about 6 a.m. July 4 regarding a well-being check at a Biram Road residence at Plato.

Upon arrival, the officer met a man who owns the property, who stated he and his wife had gotten into an argument and she had hit him with a flashlight. He said he tried to call 911, but his wife unplugged the phone and left in her car.

The man said he didn’t wish to pursue charges.

•An officer was dispatched at about 3:15 p.m. June 28 regarding a report of theft at an Atchinson Lane residence at Plato.

Upon arrival, the officer made contact with a 30-year-old Slaton, Texas, man who stated several items – with a total value of $1,215 had been stolen from the truck of his vehicle. The man said the only person who had access to the trunk was a 32-year-old man who lives at the residence where the theft allegedly took place.

After an investigation, the man declined pursuing prosecution of the suspect.

•Anthony J. Jones, 53, of 18100 Highway B at Houston, was issued a citation for third-degree domestic assault after allegedly hitting a 22-year-old relative with a jewelry box during an altercation.

•An officer was dispatched at about 2:40 a.m. July 2 regarding a possible burglary at a Highway N residence at Licking.

A woman who lives there told the officer she thought someone was in her basement. The officer went into the basement and was unable to locate a suspect.

•At about 8 p.m. July 6, an officer was dispatched to assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicular accident on Possum Trot Road at Raymondville.

Investigating officers located a truck in the woods, but were unable to locate its driver.

•At about 8 p.m. July 6, an officer was dispatched to a Harlow Road residence at Mountain View regarding a report of shots fired. A woman who lives there told the officer someone was shooting toward her horses.

The officer was unable to locate a suspect.

•Steven G. Koenig, 33, of 120 Brook Street, Apt. 6 at Licking, was issued a citation for third-degree domestic assault after allegedly punching a 52-year-old relative in the face multiple times during an argument.

•At about 9:20 p.m. July 6, an officer was dispatched to a Camden Lane residence after a woman who lives there called 911. The woman told the officer there were three men outside her home who wanted to kill her.

The officer advised the woman there was nobody outside the residence. She stated she needed to go to the hospital and was taken away by ambulance.
