The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a Saturday, July 19, accident injured a Houston man, who faces charges related to the crash. 

An intoxicated Solo man was injured Saturday night in a crash south of Houston on U.S. 63, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Tpr. Mark Philpott said a northbound 1999 Chevrolet truck driven by Jeffrey S. Gabel, 47, ran off the westside of the roadway, struck a fence and several trees about one mile south of Houston.

The Texas County Rescue Squad was called to the scene. Tpr. Mark Philpott said Gabel, who was not wearing a seat belt,  was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital and later flown to Cox Hospital in Springfield. 

Gabel is charged with DWI and failure to driven on the right half of the roadway, resulting in a traffic accident, Philpott said. The truck had moderate damage, according to a report.
