Two persons were injured Monday night in a crash in northwest Texas County.

A Monday night accident in northwest Texas County sent two persons by air ambulance to a Springfield hospital, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Terry Nelson said a 2008 Artic Cat Prowler utility vehicle driven by Tedd G. Holdren, 59, of Plato, went out of control, striking a small tree and overturning several times. Holdren was ejected and a passenger, Anthony S. Taylor, 38, was partially ejected.

Holdren has serious injuries and Taylor had moderate injuries and were flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

The Roby Fire Department assisted in moving the men to ambulances and later to helicopters called to the scene, which was on private property near Highways AW and 17.
