The following reports were generated last week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:
•A 35-year-old Mountain Grove woman called Aug. 16 to report that neighbors were in her Hidden Valley Drive residence assaulting her and doing damage to her home.
An investigating officer determined that a 43-year-old Mountain Grove woman had punched the caller and stolen a television. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking charges against her of first-degree burglary and third-degree assault.
Investigation of the matter continues, and two other people could face charges for their involvement in the incident.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 9:30 a.m. Aug. 17 regarding a report of a man wielding a knife at a Stave Mill Road residence at Mountain Grove.
The officer determined the suspect had been arguing with a woman at the location and had allegedly threatened her husband. A probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 11:10 a.m. Aug. 16 regarding a report of trespassers at an Adair Lane residence. The officer made contact with several people at the location who had been hired by an insurance company to fix the house.
•A deputy was dispatched at about 9 a.m. Aug. 12 regarding a report of property damage at a Business 60 business at Mountain Grove.
The business owner told the officer a 36-year-old employee had quit and the truck he had driven for work would no longer run. The owner stated that another employee had heard the man who quit say that once he left, the truck would never run again.
The Barton County Sheriff’s Department was contacted to assist in the investigation.
•A 61-year-old Cabool man reported Aug. 8 that his Beeler Road residence had been shot. An investigating officer observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the roof.
•A 67-year-old Mountain Grove man came to the TCSD office Aug. 6 to report that someone had knocked down a gate and cut all the alfalfa off of his County Line Road property (valued at $6,000). A 52-year-old Mountain Grove man who cut hay for the property’s previous owners is a suspect.
