FLORENCE TAYLOR

Florence “Marie” Taylor, 62, daughter of Charlie H. and Louise (Ramer) Mars, was born Nov. 1, 1951. She passed away Aug. 25, 2014, in Houston, Mo.

Marie grew up in Jackson, Tenn., and attended school and graduated at Northside High School, Jackson, Tenn.. She worked as a seamstress for many different sewing factories.

She married Paul Taylor in Selmer, Tennessee. They were happily married for over 24 years.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Paul of the home in Bucyrus, Mo.; a stepson, Jeffery Taylor from Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Charlene Goslee and her husband, Larry, of Houston, Mo.; two nephews; a niece; and many special friends.

Marie was an avid reader, loved playing with her dogs and playing computer games. She made many beautiful quilts, that her family and special friends were blessed to receive.

She was a wonderful wife, sister, aunt and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services were 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Evans Funeral Home with Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in Hickory Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
