GLENDORA MARTIN

Glendora Louise Martin, daughter of Fred and Violet (Sullivan) Reeves, was born April 10, 1927. She died Aug. 2, 2014.

Glendora was married to Dale Martin on Jan. 11, 1945.

Mrs. Martin was born in Cabool and attended school at Cabool, Houston, and Green Hill. Dale and Glendora spent most of their life in Houston and operated a very successful cattle business. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Raymondville Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale Martin; her parents; two daughters, Dona Lynn and Connie Sue; two sisters, Alberta White and Wilma Purcell; and one brother, Herbert Reeves.

Surviving are two sisters, Wava Brown of Houston and Laura Adey of Houston: and many nieces and nephews.

Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Evans Funeral Home with Dr. Howell Burkhead officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Adey, Tyler Adey, Harold Wiggs, Dewayne Rees, Brian Jordan, David Martin, Johnny Jordan and Mark Weinberger. Honorary pallbearer was Bob Lynch.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Oak Dale Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.evansfh.com. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
