After opening its season on the road today (Thursday), the Houston High School softball team will play at home for the first time Saturday by hosting an eight-team tournament.
The fourth-seeded Lady Tigers face No. 5 Seymour at 10:30 a.m. on Carter Field.
Other first-round matchups are:
- (1) Mansfield vs. (8) Steelville, 9 a.m. on Carter Field.
- (2) Salem vs. (7) Winona at 9 a.m. on Chamber Field.
- (3) Bakersfield vs. (6) Laquey at 10:30 a.m. on Chamber Field.
The semifinals of the winner’s bracket are noon on each field. The consolation bracket semifinals are 1:30 p.m.
The third-place and seventh-place games begin at 3 p.m., followed by the championship and consolation final at 4:30 p.m.
