In April, the Licking Board of Alderman passed a resolution proclaiming the City of Licking as a Purple Heart city.
At the board’s next meeting on Aug. 19, the Missouri Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart will have representatives present to make a presentation to the city.
The City of Licking invites all military veterans or other citizens to the presentation, especially recipients of the Purple Heart.
The meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the city hall in downtown Licking.
