This vehicle slammed into a rock bluff and caught fire Sunday morning north of Houston. 

A Licking woman received moderate injuries Sunday morning when her vehicle ran off U.S. 63 north of Houston, struck a bluff and erupted into flames.

Caroline A. Goforth, 33, was driving southbound at about 9:40 a.m. about four miles north of Houston when her 2003 Volkswagen Beetle ran off the left side of the road, said Tpr. Marty Wiseman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Goforth, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.

The vehicle was totaled, and the Houston Rural Fire Department was called to extinguish the fire.
