Texas County’s unemployment rate in August dropped three-tenths of a percentage point from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
The figure was 6.5 percent.
The agency said the civilian labor force was 11,386. Total employment was 10,644. Those unemployed stood at 742, which was down 24 from July.
