Genevieve Riene Wells, 95, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014.
She was born July 23, 1919, in Minot, N.D., daughter of Harry and Evalean Emigh. She and Victor W. Wells were maried Nov. 3, 1942, in Hutchinson, Kan.
She grew up in Hutchinson, Kan., and didn’t miss a day of school in 13 years. She worked at Kresses Dime Store, where she worked the candy counter until she met her husband, Victor W Wells.
They moved to Wichita, Kan., where she was a homemaker until 1957. She was then employed at Dole Meat Packing Company. In 1963, her and her family moved to Missouri and started a dairy farm, where she lived until her husband passed away. She moved to Licking in 1979.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Victor.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Davis of Licking and Jackie James and Kathy Bell of Houston; a son, Stacy Wells of Licking; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grand children; and four great-great grandchildren.
Services were Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors John Jordan and Phillip McGuire officiating. Burial was at Tyrone Cemetery.
