Military veteran

Lloyd Laymon Dixon, 86, of Licking, passed away Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014.

He was born March 18, 1928.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the V.F.W. He was a retired insulator of Local 37 and at 86 years old was one of the oldest insulators

He loved his garden, maintaining a beautiful yard and watching his great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Jennifer.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Dixon of Licking; two sons, David Dixon of Nashville, Tenn., and Steve Dixon of Paducah, Ky.; a daughter, Kay Wofford of Rolla; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services were Sunday, Aug. 31, at Fox Funeral Home with Rick Mosher officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Williams Cemetery.
