Houston will play tonight for the district softball championship at home.

The Houston High School softball team fell back to .500 with a 13-5 road loss Tuesday at Norwood.

Olivia Woosley had two of the Lady Tigers’ six hits. Lizzy Swindell drove in two runs.

Senior Kylee Elmore allowed 10 hits in the complete-game loss. She struck out two and walked four.

Houston (7-7) took an initial lead by scoring twice in the top of the first inning. After leadoff hitting Autumn Walker walked and Woosley doubled, Swindell and Tommi Franklin followed with RBI groundouts.

Norwood pulled even with two runs in the first and pulled away by scoring eight times in the third inning.
