Shelli Donn Vitale, 36, passed away from breast cancer on Sept. 27, 2014 at 9 a.m. at her home in St. Peters, Mo. She was born October 11, 1977, in Rolla, Mo., daughter of Karen Southworth-Edwards and Mark Edwards.
She graduated from Troy Buchanan High School as a member of the Honor Society and FBLA. She graduated from Missouri Baptist University, where she achieved a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice, with honors: Suma Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude. Shelli met the love of her life, Tony Vitale, and was united in Holy Matrimony on July 10, 1999, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, Mo. Her first priority was her love of dogs; their home was blessed with four fur-babies: Abu, Jack, Bella and Asti.
Shelli worked for many years at Regions Bank, where she was a Personal Banker and Teller Supervisor.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Iva and Dewey Southworth; one cousin, Brette DeWitte; and grandmother, Patricia Edwards.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Vitale of St. Louis, Mo.; her parents, Karen (Southworth) and Mark Edwards of Troy, Mo.; one brother, Jamie Morrow, and wife, Lina, one niece, Lindsey Morrow, and nephew/godson, Zachary Morrow of Moscow Mills, Mo.; grandfather, Harrison Edwards of Licking, Mo.; several cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
She enjoyed crafting, gardening, reading and most of all, her love for animals. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Evans Funeral Home. Services begin at 11 a.m. in the chapel with David Kettner officiating. Pallbearers are Jamie Morrow, Mark Edwards, August Vitale, Butch Edwards, Patrick Edwards, Kenneth Thomlinson, Josh York and Duane Domko. Honorary Pallbearers are Jon Southworth and Zachary Morrow. Burial will be in Boone Creek Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
