Today’s semifinals of the Class 2 District 8 tournament have been moved forward due to threatening weather.
The first semifinal between fourth-seeded Houston and No. 1 East Carter will begin at 2 p.m. on Carter Field. The second semifinal is scheduled to begin around 4 p.m. between No. 3 Willow Springs and second-seeded Neelyville.
The Lady Tigers advanced through the opening round Wednesday with a 16-6 five-inning victory against Liberty. Willow Springs beat Alton 16-0 in three innings.
