Two persons were injured and a driver arrested following an accident early Saturday, Oct. 4, in northern Texas County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a drunk driver was arrested early Saturday following an accident north of Licking on Highway CC.

Tpr. Marty Wiseman said an eastbound 1985 GMC Sierra failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the roadway and overturned at 12:15 a.m. about eight miles north of Licking. The driver, Michele R. Weaver, 44, of Lenox, had moderate injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment. A passenger, James L. McCoy, 40, of Lenox, had minor injuries and was transported to TCMH.

Wiseman said both were wearing seat belts. The Licking Fire Department was called to assist at 12:29 a.m.
