A fall festival to benefit the Raymondville Fire Department is Saturday, Oct. 18.
The event runs 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Raymondville Fairgrounds on Highway B.
Many games are planned — ranging from three-legged races to a seed-spitting contest. Tickets for games are a quarter. There is no gate fee.
Demonstrations also are planned. They include spinning, honey making, blacksmith work, a Civil War re-enactment, Dutch oven cooking, knife throwing and more.
Live entertainment is planned throughout the day, as well as craft vendors. Smokey the Bear will visit at 1 p.m. A quilt auction is at 5:30 p.m.
