The Houston volleyball team’s first conference victories came on the road.
The Lady Tigers outlasted Willow Springs 22-25, 25-21, 25-22 last Tuesday and two days later beat Salem 25-13, 25-11.
The victories evened Houston’s record at 2-2 in the South Central Association.
Katelyn Martinez led a balanced HHS attack with eight kills in the victory at Willow Springs. Nora Dixon added seven and Megan Silveus and Sarah Kelley had six apiece.
Camryn Scheets handed out a team-best 26 assists. Abby Casper led the Lady Tigers with 29 digs.
Against Salem, Martinez had a team-best six kills in the straight sets victory. Dixon added four kills and had four of the team’s 10 aces.
Scheets had 16 assists.
