Mabel H. Taber Mitchell, 91, passed away Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Mercy St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.

She was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Arroll, daughter of Bruce T. and Vada M. Woolsey Mattison. She and Roscoe Taber were married in August 1939. He passed away in 1956. She later married Ralph Mitchell.

She was baptized at Jacks Fork River and attended Arroll Community Church for many years.

She enjoyed gardening and caring for her family. Her favorite times were doing things with her grandchildren. She loved to tend to her flowers in her yard as long as she was able.

After her husband, Ralph, passed away, she sold the family farm at Arroll and moved to Mountain View. When she became to ill to stay alone, she moved to the Mountain View Health Care.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Roscoe and Ralph; infant twins babies; a daughter, Judy Cooley; and three sisters, Lorene Ellis, Myrtle Browden and Bessie Boston.

Survivors include four children, Joyce Phipps of Willow Springs, Susie Williams of Mountain View, Lois Kimery of Plato and Janet Stern of Nashville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Services were Monday, Oct. 6, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Bradford officiating. Burial was in Arroll Cemetery.
