The postseason begins tonight for the Houston High School volleyball team.
The Lady Tigers face No. 2 Cabool at 6:15 p.m. Monday in the second of three first-round matches in the Class 2 District 9 tournament at Cabool High School.
The tournament opens with No. 4 Ava against fifth-seeded Willow Springs at 5 p.m. Second-seeded Licking concludes the first day with a 7:30 p.m. match against No. 7 Plato.
Houston (8-18-2) concluded the regular season with a straight sets loss last Tuesday night to Liberty, the top seed in the district. The Lady Eagles received a first-round bye.
The winner of the HHS-Cabool match will play the Licking-Plato winner at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in the semifinals. The championship match will follow.
