Texas County’s unemployment rate was unchanged in September, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 6.5 percent.
The agency said the civilian labor force was 11,271. Total employment was 10,542. Those unemployed stood at 729, which was down 13 from August.
In south-central Missouri, the average jobless rate in September was 5.9 percent. Area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 5.9; Howell, 5.4; Shannon, 7.4; and Wright, 5.9.
