Cleo Williams, 85, of Licking, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014.
She was born Feb. 22, 1929, in St. Louis, daughter of Fred and Ellen Chambers. She and Clyde Williams were married Nov. 4, 1947.
She graduated from Licking High School in 1947.
She and her husband, Clyde, raised their family on a small farm just outside of Licking in the Sherrill, community. They raised a few head of cattle. She enjoyed planting a garden each spring. She spent most of the summer canning fruits and vegetables and making jams and jellies.
She attended the Licking Church of Christ for more tan 50 years. She loved planning and hosting family events.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; two sisters, Helen Miller, and Fern Warnecke; and three brothers, Dale, Gerald and Harry Chambers.
Survivors include four sons, Doug Williams and Denver Williams of Licking, Dallas Williams of Bethany, Okla., and Clifton Williams of Salem; a sister, Pat Fluehr; two brothers, Donald Chambers and Glen Chambers; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Services were Monday, Nov. 3, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Dave Barnes officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Licking Church of Christ, Sonshine & Rainbow Day School.
