Texas County started the year with a 8.2 percent jump in sales tax revenue compared to the same monthly period in 2014.

Revenue from three county sales taxes dropped about 5 percent each during the latest monthly distribution, the Missouri Department of Revenue reports.

The tally from a trio of half-cent sales taxes was about $73,323 each. That’s down about $3,928 from the same period a year ago.

For the year, collections remain up. The total was more than $839,000 on each. That’s up about 6.9 percent on each from 2013.
