Houston native Becky Witham has returned to her hometown as a nurse practitioner at Mercy Clinic Family Medicine-Houston.

A certified family nurse practitioner born and raised in Houston is back in town and joining forces with Mercy Clinic Family Medicine-Houston.

Becky Witham, FNP, teamed up with Dr. Patricia Benoist and Dr. Matthew Brown in late October to provide primary care services to the local community.

“I graduated high school in this very town,” said Witham. “I would love for my feet to remain planted here. Clinic staff is extremely supportive and the patients who come in here are just amazing.”

Witham graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development from Missouri State University in 2003. She returned to Missouri in 2005 and three years later graduated as a registered nurse from Missouri State University-West Plains and completed her master’s in nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University in St. Louis.

“As a student, I performed clinicals with Mercy here in Houston,” Witham said. “They were so compassionate and helpful; I knew I wanted to eventually work alongside this team.”

Witham is the mother of Belle, her 9-year-old daughter. Together they travel across the state looking for adventure.

“We have family scattered across Missouri, so there’s never a shortage of things to do and people to see.”

Witham invites new patients to check out Mercy Clinic Family Medicine-Houston, which is located at 1422 S. Sam Houston Boulevard. It’s open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
