The Houston Sorosis Club is seeking girls from Houston, Raymondville and Success to participate in its annual Miss Merrie Christmas pageant.
Eligible participants include students from the three middle schools as well as Houston High School. Proceeds benefit the group’s annual scholarship fund given to graduating seniors.
Organizers said they have streamlined this year’s auditions to accommodate busy holiday schedules. Practices begin at 6 p.m. Monday at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Fairgrounds.
