Texas County deputies are investigating several crimes in the county.

The following reports were generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A woman representing a church on Varvel Road in Licking came to the TCSD office Nov. 20 to report that a blue tote, a food tray and two curtains with a total value of $53 had been stolen from the church.

•A 30-year-old woman from Montreal, Mo., called Nov. 19 to report a rape. The woman didn’t want to discuss details over the phone and an officer set up an interview with her at the TCSD office on Nov. 25.

•A 51-year-old Licking woman came to the TCSD office Nov. 18 to report that several items with a total value of $2,030 had been swiped from her Cantrell Drive residence.

The woman named a 35-year-old Licking woman as a suspect, and stated she had asked the suspect to return the stolen goods and she had refused.

An officer was to make contact with the suspect.

•A deputy was dispatched to a Mineral Drive residence in Houston at about 4 p.m. Nov. 17 regarding a report of possible animal abuse. The officer made contact with a woman there who stated if her neighbor’s dog got out, there would be “issues” at her residence. She said the dog hadn’t gotten out yet.
