Texas County’s unemployment rate dropped 1.3 percent in October, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 5.2 percent.
The agency said the civilian labor force was 11,467. Total employment stood at 10,869. Those unemployed stood at 598, which was down 131 from September.
In south-central Missouri, the average jobless rate in October was 4.8 percent. Area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 4.5; Howell, 4.2; Shannon, 6.1; and Wright, 4.7.
