The annual Christmas program that assists Texas County children is underway for the 30th year.
“Share Your Christmas” gives a boost to those who would have a gloomy Christmas were it not for the generosity of Texas County residents.
This year’s headquarters is situated at the Houston Lions Club Den basement on North U.S. 63. Hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Applications will be accepted through Dec. 12.
Donations of new or good used children’s clothing, coats, toys and household items are needed. Monetary contributions can be made at the Houston Herald or mail to: Share Your Christmas, P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.

Angel Trees will soon be established at Houston Walmart Supercenter and Untangled Salon. Cases are outlined on the trees.
Here are cases outlining needs:
Case 1: This 5-year-old boy needs a size 6 warm coat and size 12 shoes. Pants and shirts, size 5, are also needed. He loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Case 2: The special toy wish of this 7-year-old girl is an Easy Bake Oven. She needs size 7 clothing and size 13 shoes. Her 3-year-old sister likes mermaids and unicorns. She needs size 4T clothing and size 8 shoes.
Case 3: A 1-year-old baby girl needs a coat and winter clothing size 18 month. Size 4 shoes also are needed. She would like a doll or any baby toys.
Case 4: Three boys, ages 13, 10 and 6, are in need of some help to have Christmas gifts this year. The 6-year-old needs size 7 pants and shirts, as well as size 13 shoes. His toy wish is a Nerf gun. The 10 year old needs size 12 jeans, size 14 shirts and size 5 shoes. He would like a science kit or Beyblades. The 13-year-old boy needs size 32 x 34 jeans, larger men’s shirts and size 11 ½ men’s shoes. He would like to have Beyblades and magic cards.
Case 5: Any toys from the movie, Frozen, is the wish of this 4-year-old girl. She needs size 3T pants, size 4T shirts and size 10 shoes.
