Share Your Christmas is under way in Teas County. The drive helps children who need a boost at the holidays.

Share Your Christmas, the holiday drive that adds cheer for deserving children in Texas County, will take applications until Friday, Dec. 12.

Started 30 years ago by the Houston Herald, the charity operates from the Lions Club Den basement on North U.S. 63. Pat Miller is the volunteer coordinator.

There were several developments this week:

• Ninety-four children have applied so far. Only a few have already been adopted.

• Angel trees went up this week at Untangled and Walmart Supercenter. The trees allows someone to take a wish list and fulfill the dreams.

• Donating and adopting this week were Big Creek Church, Blue Heaven Club and Progressive Ozark Bank and employees.

• There is a particular need for good used children’s, men’s and women’s clothing, as well as household items.

Here are the cases:

Case No. 6: Some help with Christmas gifts would be very much appreciated by this lady who is caring for four granddaughters. Their ages are 12, 10, 6 and 5. The 12 year old needs size 12 pants, 14-16 top and size 3 shoes. The 10 year old wears size 10 pants, 10-12 top and size 2 shoes. The 6 year old needs size 6 pants, size 7 tops and size 12 shoes. The 5 year old wears size 5 Toddler clothes and size 10 shoes.

All the girls are getting by with coats from last winter, but they are getting worn and a little small, so they could use new ones if any are available. They do not ask for any specific toys or gifts. They would be happy with anything they get.

Case No. 7: This little 3-year-old boy’s Christmas wish is a Paw Patrol movie. He could also use size 3 toddler winter clothing and size 8 shoes. An 8-year-old girl needs size 8 pants and tops and size 1 shoes. She also needs a winter coat and would like a bracelet maker craft kit.

The little girl needs size 4 toddler clothing and size 8 shoes, and the little boy needs size 4 toddler clothing and size 12 shoes. He is also in need of a winter coat.
