The Texas County Community Singers will present a concert at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19, at Ozark Baptist Church.
The free event will feature several selections sung by the choir, special solos a caroling segment including sing-along by the crowd and an appearance by the Houston United Methodist Church hand bell choir.
The choir – that has more than 30 members – has recently established a scholarship fund and next spring will give a vocal music scholarship to a graduating senior. Donations for the fund will be accepted at the concert.
The community singers are under the direction of Houston Schools choir director Beth Williamson. Ozark Baptist is on Highway 17 about five miles east of Houston.Â
