Paydon Dixon scored a team-best 18 points as the Houston eighth-grade boys beat Salem 42-26 Thursday night for their first victory of the season.

CJ Lee added 10 points for the Tigers, who led 18-11 at halftime and by 12 entering the fourth quarter.

Last Tuesday, Lee scored 14 points and Dixon added seven in the Tigers’ 42-31 loss to Licking.

The previous day, Lee had 14 points in Houston’s 58-22 loss to St. James.

SEVENTH GRADE: Clayton Moore scored 12 points and Kyler Ramsey had 10 in the Tigers’ 27-26 loss Thursday to Salem.

Last Tuesday, Ramsey scored 16 points in a 40-25 victory against Licking.

Clayton Moore had seven points and Sterling Jackson added six for the Tigers, who led 16-7 after the opening quarter.

On Monday, Jackson had a team-best eight points in Houston’s 26-19 loss to St. James.
