The Missouri Housing Development Commission approved tax credits for several projects. A Houston project did not make the cut.

A project to build a 40-unit elderly housing complex near Holder Drive and North Industrial Drive in Houston was denied special financing Friday by the Missouri Housing Development Commission.

Heritage Estates was a 40-unit project of Cydecton Investments LLC, a Poplar Bluff firm that was seeking $500,000 in MHDC Home funds, as well as $455,000 in federal tax credits and another $455,000 in state tax credits.

The only project in the region to receive approval was a Rolla proposal.
