Mildred “Memmie” Viola Driesel was born Aug. 10, 1913, one of five children, to Fred Douglas and Laura Hester (DeForrest) Edwards at Raymondville, Mo. She left this world Dec. 20, 2014, at Houston House, Houston, Mo., making her age 101 years, 5 months and 20 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cecil William “Bill” Driesel; three sisters, Goldie Decker, Nora Milhousan and Lola Diedrich; and a brother, Warren G. Edwards.
In August of 1967, Memmie, retired from International Shoe Co., where she worked for 25 years.
