Ruby Lee (Helms) Hall Roeder, 93, of Licking, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014.
She was born Feb. 2, 1921, daughter of Grover and Selma Stevenson Helms. She and Earl Hall were married Oct. 20, 1939. She later married John Roeder in 1996.
She was the oldest of 10 girls. She was saved and baptized in Newburg. She graduated in 1939 from Newburg High School.
She was an active member of several different lodges and the Democratic Party. She was also a master scout. She laced baseballs at Rawlings Sporting Goods in Licking, then worked at the Licking library until
her retirement.
She was a member at First Baptist Church in Licking. She later attended Abounding Hope with her daughter, Deanna Cooper, and moved her membership there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; five sisters, Norma Lewis of Germany, 
Goldie Moreland of Rolla, Lucille Swift of Springfield, Betty McEwen of 
Edwardsville, Ill., and Carolyn Denmon of Houston, Texas.
Survivors include three children, Ruth Housden-Canfield of Rolla, JD Hall of Conway and Deanna Cooper of Licking; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; four sisters, Dorothy Heatherington of Nixa, Fern Affolter of Granite City, Ill., Rosemary Brown of Arkansas and Marilyn Martin of Edwardsville, Ill.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services were Monday, Dec. 15, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Miller officiating. Burial was in Licking City Cemetery.
