Texas County officials elected or re-elected in 2014 stand before county clerk Don Troutman at a swearing-in ceremony Wednesday at the county Justice Center in Houston. Six Texas County officials elected or re-elected in 2014 were sworn in during a ceremony Wednesday afternoon at the county Justice Center in Houston.

Returning for another term are Presiding Commissioner Fred Stenger, Associate Circuit Judge Doug Gaston, circuit clerk Marci Mosley, county clerk Don Troutman and recorder of deeds Susan Warkentin. Starting a first term as county prosecuting attorney is Parke Stevens Jr.

“We like for elected officials to be sworn in Dec. 31 so if they need to act in an official capacity at 12:01 a.m. Jan. 1, they can do so,” Troutman said.
