Texas County’s unemployment rate was unchanged in December, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 6.1 percent.
The agency said the county’s civilian labor force was 11,192. Total employment stood at 10,513. Those unemployed was 679, which was down nine from November.
In south-central Missouri, the average jobless rate in December was 5.9 percent. Area counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 5.5; Howell, 5.1; Shannon, 8.3; and Wright, 5.5.
